Dumb question. Is there a difference in clutch spring color, as in what rpm they in guage at, or is it whatever paint color the manufacturer had and serves no purpose?

I believe there is a difference but not sure on the manufacturer and the rating.

DDM shows red at 8000 rpm and black at 5 or 6k depending on who makes it.

If you measure the wire diameter is there a difference? I would think larger diameter would be a higher RPM.

I really never messed with diffrent clutch spring rates.
Friend of mine picked up a Rovan with a 36cc and it really lacks take off power. I was just wondering if changing the clutch spring would be beneficial?

All the red spring clutches ive seen or guys around my club use are 8k engagement. The stock black is 6k and yellow is 10k i believe.

So I am messing around with clutch springs again. Is there a list or chart for spring diameters associated with the rpm engagement?

I haven't seen a spring wire diameter chart but I have watched crucialrc's vid witch does explain spring wire dia, actual clutch weight and other factors.
Pretty good vid:
