clutch springs????????????

hi all was just wondering what is the best clutch spring for off road use, red 8000 or standard black?

i run a 28.5 with an fg tuned pipe!

I like the HPI red spring because it gives it a bit more off the line and I can rev it a bit at 1st.

i just bash it around on fields and my local bmx track so not to bothered about top end just want a bit more grunt off the line

I would say the more you can get the motor higher in the rev before engagement the better for quick power off the line.

+1 BTB.. I have the red one on my MCD and is kicks at the perfect time. I've had an elcon clutch in there that was good, but when i changed the motor, i just put a standard clutch for now.

How does a standard diff cope with these springs?? Higher revs before it launches must mean more strain on the oily bits?? How have yours coped or do you have uprated diffs??

I've just installed a Red 8000rpm spring on my MT Hummer, there is a difference, see my vid and you'll see it wheelieing , (utube: flintshire fg 20). :cool2:
I've got 1 on ebay now for sale with only 45mins left to run. i'd give it a go with a red spring and see what you think.

No pros, sent it this morning, they said you might have it tomorrow if not should be with you monday.
It should be able to see the difference with the acceleration. :cool2:
I'm lovin mine at the mo, only thing i need to do is brace the rear arms as they,re turning in on acceleration, project for the winter me thinks.
