okay I sheared off my pinion bolt and figured while I up grade all of that with a vertigo quick system I would change my clutch. Does anyone have any suggestions. I do not want to spend a 100 plus dollars on the clutch. Thanks for all suggestions.

im guessing since u planning on spending 200 bucks on the vertigo easy access clutch system,, you are referring to the actual clutch case,, gh racing has some left, they are out of business though,, turtle racing makes a couple,,, I think highest is like 51 bucks for the finned v2 case, others are around 30,, check out ddm, tgn largescalerc others for best deal ,, you can use your stock clutch shoe carrier,,, actual clutches can range from 15 to 35 bucks,,, depending on where u buy and what u buy,, id get a 8000 rpm one,, but if u want cheaper, I bought different parts and built my clutch,, ddm clutch bell carrier with oversized bearings in your choice of anodizing and the vertigo v2 hex drive bell and pinion for like 120 bucks and if u want u can use turtle racing gear plate for 43 bucks will not be the new easy access set up,,, but will save bunch of money and still be pretty much bullet proof,,, you can even find turtle racing setups for 160 bucks,, just got to look and use the discount codes for 5 percent some sites have,

Thanks I am going to go with the 8k clutch and have also decided to bite the bullet and get the gizmotors rcmk full mod 30.5 motor so I will also be going to a 19/55 gear setup. It should really rip when I get done.

be careful on the rcmk from gizmo,,, as far as I know as end of last year, he is no longer a dealer,,, so Im not sure what will happen if u need parts, I believe ddm is now only usa supplier , ive read people having problems and cant get modded parts,, such as a ported head, , only stock ones,,, so be careful ,, not sure if gizmo is supplying a warranty on them,,,, hes a gzr dealer now for boats,,

I did the same with my pinion and just received my Turtle V2 HD clutch system and TR 17t pinion. It's a sweet piece of hardware and hopefully I have the time to test it tomorrow. Paired it with a Hostile 57t spur.

Daves only carries 1 rcmk motor and it is not modified. I talked to gizmotors the other day and they seem like a top notch business plus I have a friend that has used them for years with his boats and recently got a motor for his baja and the after the sale support has been great. If they started doing what you are saying when word got out it would hurt there boat motor sales and I think they are smarter than that.

Well I ordered my motor and vertigo clutch system along with a 19 tooth pinion and 2 hostile 55 tooth spurs. Thought about going with a steel spur but figured I would rather strip a spur than blow out a dif. Hopefully I will have this thing running by next sat or sunday.
