Hi all,

I was out on the weekend before the steering servo went and I noticed that my truck didn't seem to slip into gear at times. Would this be becuase it's fairly new and I have only run it a few times or a cold weather issue or is my clutch gone already? I treat my trucks with care mostly( can't help but jump it all the time and get it dirty) so I am stumped?

it doesn't sound like a clutch. when it goes you get nothing at all. unless you run in the sand a cluth will last(for me) about 4 gallons. sometime more. but sand and mud really do some damage. the cold weather has a positive effect as it doesn't over heat

well you stated that "at times it didnt seem to slip into gear".. when the clutch goes, just like on your real car you will get nothing. you'll still be creaping around alittle, but it doesn't fade in and out. it doesn't sound like the diffs eather. you'll know when they go. melted gears sounds like a blown clutch but thats obvious to see. i would say dirt or mud could have breifly gottin in their cousing it to bind. but it spins so fast, you couldnt keep a hamster in their.lol. alot of water could make for a breif point of slipping, but its too hot. i busted a clutch spring once, but that just leaves it always ingaged. if the clutch was binding on something and only allowing one shoe to open? i would open it up and see what it looks like before you take it out again. have you pulled the clutch off in the past? make sure all the washers are their. 1 flat washer and 1 pressure washer per screw. the flat washer goes closest to the motor and stops it from binding..

Mine

There are two Bosnians playing for West Ham in an important league match. The ball comes spinning towards them but the captain, who's also well placed to receive the pass, shouts, "Mine!", and both players hit the ground. .............................................................................................................................................cheap wow goldhttp://www.mmoinn.com

I thought my clutch was gone also.......but YOU guys told me to adjust my brake tension.......spring crap......servo stuff......the next time it happened was when I packed so much snow into the truck that it wedged the brakes on..... I just did the vented clutch bell tonight and my clutch looks fresh.....and that's after thrashing it in a snowy sand pit!

Try looking at the pinion shaft...it's a 2 piece and is joined by the alloy square the brake discs are on...one of the grub screws on mine came loose, no loctite (d'oh) and it didn't have any on from the factory when i did my pre run strip down. If the screw backs out enough your ride will nogo
