i recently put a 8000rpm clutch in my mt. Now that its installed, when i got to crank it its already engaged. i tried to test run it and it went completely by itself, i had no control what so ever. when i turn the motor over the clutch is already engaged.

If you pull the rope on a stand and the wheel's rotate with the pull....your spring is broke or come out of its hook hole. In most cases if it's a stock or low powered engine will stall out as soon as it hits the ground if fires at all from not getting the revolution to stay fired. A high idle will also cause a instant take off as soon as it fires like Vet mentioned.

thats what its doing. i looked at the spring and its in place and it dosent appear broke. when i ran it for the first time after i put the clutch in it done good, then i noticed when i went to take off it was like it would bog down until i got into the gas. then it would clear up.

It sounds like you may want to reset the carb....to me it sounds like a tune issue! Back off the idle screw and go back in until you see the hammer start to move and give it another 1/4 turn and reset the carb to factory settings.

ok, do I screw them all the way in and then do the adjustments(stock settings) or do I screw them all the way out?

All the way in and back them out to specified turns...don't force them when you go in ..just when they stop is good or you could smash the end and you would be ----.

So I got everything put back together and I turned the idle back down and reset the carb to factory. She runs like brand new. Thanks for all the help.
