Coils

My MT is less than a year old had to replace the coil about 4 months ago now I have another bad coil,does anyone have any idea what is causing them to go bad.

Interesting. I've never had one go bad. What plug do you use?

Just an idea. The manual button kill switch works by grounding out the coil. Basically shorts it out so it doesn't work. Maybe you have one that is always making intermittent contacts. Not enough to shut it down, but enough to put a load on the coil.

I had the coil out of the truck and tested it with a ohm meter

if you have an ohm meter then you no doubt know about checking the primary and secondary resistance- just saying-- no offence intended. i have not had one fail---- yet.
