Hey guys, got board waiting on my steering servos to come in....

started playing around with the air filter, I noticed that it sucks air from right were the front tires through dirt.....

so I moved it. would have looked better if I did not kill the body, hahaha

you can see a small shield I added below the filter, it will help keep the direct dirt off the filter as well. it is hard to see it is a think walled metal drink can( cut and bent ) then I drilled a hold in the shock mount and bolted it on.

The pipe is 1 1/4 pvc pipe that I heated in the oven and bent

I used rattle can black paint on every thing to make it look better

Cool idea!! Haha if u run offroad I would put a outerwears pre-filter on it , looks like it will get good airflow good idea..

Yeah. I was thinking that...HAHA.. I mostly run on road... I do have a few pairs of panty-hose that I install if I beet around the gravel pit.

This was a 10 min build so the look is not that good. I wish some one made a polished alum. piece :)

but as far as function goes, It should pull fresh clean air..key word being CLEAN.. I mean the front tires just through dirt straight at the filter..... at least with it up front I am not trying filter a dust storm :D

ANY IDEAS ON HOW TO BUILD A HOOD SCOOP?
