WOW, I didn't think I was going to stur the pot on this. I see what you all are saying but I'm going to roll the dice just because it does what I need... It would be cheaper to run pumped gas but I can't risk it with my son.. He loves doing this hobby with me and I already have to keep the Lawnmower gas up high on a shelf and always have to clean the lawnmower really clean... My son is 9 years old and very allergic to Pump gas.... I hope some day he will grow out of it like some of the other things he was allergic to... But until then Coleman Fuel will be used. I was racing some of the guys at the track with my buggy and I was doing just fine keeping up and some of them I was walking away from.. 100% Naptha is one mean mother... There is more to just octane. All your points are right on the money and I'm very happy to get all this info.. Thanks again

Mike

It works for you rcman1 and I'm glad, I was just dispelling some of the myths associated around it.

It's the base they use in common gasoline, they just add stuff to it to make it more powerful for our cars.

I agree, use what you have to, to keep the boy healthy because that's all that really matters!

Remember storing Gas Cans on an elevated shelf is dangerous. Gasoline fumes are heavier than air, so they will travel down to the floor. Having the can's in the air could create a "Wall of flames" if it ever caught fire. That is why there is a step up to go from a garage into a house. It can even seem through the plastic of the can, or so I have read. A "Safety Can" would remedy that

Be safe and best of luck to your boy!
