Other than the ole diff outdrive shafts the weakest link would be the front steering blocks. I would recommend upgrading to aluminum ones because I broke mine the 2nd day driving around in a field.

Are the rihnos servos the best ones to get?
 
To temper all I have to do Is heat em up real nice and dunk em in cold water?
 
Like Moo said, heat the shafts and only the shaft past the purple to the silver color and let them air cool. Do not quench them in water. This will keep them fro being so brittle by lowering the Rockwell rating on them. Also, like Moo said, check into converting to Baja shocks. The stock Rampage shocks shafts are only 4mm which is what the 1/8 scales use and snap like toothpicks on a 30 pound Rampage.
