Comparison of the Chimera to the Xb

Anyone have both or see both running together?


I was thinking about the Xb since its a little smaller and Lighter but same engine. Is it as durable when it comes to axles, gears and diff cups?

Take off the body features and they are the same vehicle.

IMO the Chimera's cage makes it a bit more durable in role overs and crashes.

So they both maintain the same axles, hubs a arms and so forth?

Yes, exact same drivetrain and chassis.

Except the XB has set screws for the adapters and the Chimera has dowel pins.

Hey Kuneff, it's Aaron, just joined the forum to snoop around. Think I may just get the Chimera, instead of spending the money on a Baja 5SC and a Kraken TSK. That thing looks phenomenal. Although after i get this and still want a 5th with a Kraken cage I'll be kicking myself. Tim had a Dunerunner up at the Hobby store, But haven't seen the 5B in person yet.

That's cool, I have run parts from the xt also to convert my chimera to a monster truck. I also used the MT wheels and tires and all have simy swapped out..
