Hi guys
I'm looking to maybe convert my Marder from off-road to more on road/rally style to poss fit a 1/5th scale Mk2 escort shell I know i need a shorter chassis
I have my eye on one ,other than shorter shocks and on road tyres/wheels anything else??
Cheers

Coming down in diameter on the wheels means you will also need to change the gears.. other wise it will run out of useful revs and your top end will be alot lower..

you can stiffen up the shocks instead of replacing them..anti roll bars work well on road too.

But if you plan on going off road again or rally cross style tracks you will need to find a good compromise to the handling.

the escorts look fantastic and is a good choice so when you get it done get some pics up...:w00t:

for the mk2 escort thats on here made by somebody called spitfire is a 535mm wheel base so you would need a longer chassis as the marders a fair bit shorter @465mm wb i think,,,maybe more cost effective for you to find a cheap fg on road lwb car on ebay as theres quite a few bits to change to convert a marder it maybe another plan
