well where do all you lads get yer spray paint for bodyshells?
i have a new bodyshell on the way monday for the beetle pro and im going painting it gloss black (motor factors shop can of paint 5euro) should be nice shiny black, windows clear, few decals but less is more i think sometimes.

Make sure to get it at the local hobby shop made for the type of plastic body you have. If not it will flex and the paint will chip off. Make sure to follow the You Tube tutorials posted here for the proper technique. Make sure you DON'T paint it too thick with one coat.

I agree to that.
It depends on the plastic type. So take it to the hobby shop and ask for the correct pant.

Walmart and lowes, menards now sell a spray can with flex agent in it. Krylon makes it,it is for plastic and it is GREAT. Dries in 5-10 minutes, can says 15 but it's way faster. I am using it on the MT truck i am doing. Will post pics when i'm done. And KILLER beetle!!!

yeah but i can get the old two pack stuff in my local motor factors in gloss black and works great (when needing just that colour) i painted it today 5 0r 6 light coats spread out and looks amazing, just got the new beetle body yesterday and looks sweet gloss black(so shiny)few decals in white then on the back small windows, looks cool.i let it kinda bake over the stove fo a few hours, solid as a rock,u couldnt even scratch it....
but that paint is great the old two pack quick drying paint, they just keep it in gloss black in my local motor factors, handy for me....:)
and remember just 5euro for a huge can...
halfords also do a range of any colour in that type of paint and water based, and they do not flex or scratch or damage if done properly and heated.
