Cooling clutch plates

Are cooling clutch plates a thing of the past or do motors come with them , I don't here much talk about them , any thoughts

They are an aftermarket thing . Don't know of any motors that come with them except for rcmax which is actually functional (they have cutouts in the case where it can draw air in and such). And I personally think the bolt on ones are just a gimmick . Never had an issue with a normal style clutche plate ?‍

I never really saw the point of them, if your running an open carrier
