Has anybody tried to run a duct or hose from the flywheel cover over to the gear cover for cooling rather than drilling all the holes or removing the cover completely

Not that I know of. Some one had an idea on here to put a cooling fan from a computer on the gear cover, it never really went any where, though. I run mine without a cover for cooling and convenience. I'd hate having to remove the cover just to check on the gears. They do fine without it.

What i did was cut a square section from the top and bottom and covered it with prefilter material and glued it all the way around so it seals of, the air can go in and out but keeps the dirt and rocks out!!

Works great!!

RedRum... feel like taking pics or are pics already on another thread? Have a close up both inside and out?

I think I may have seen a pic before, but it was not specifically of the cover.

yea ill post a picture for you so you can see how easy it is to do it!!

Heres how i did my gear cover with the prefilter material and some rubber tire glue, make sure you scuff up the area you intend to put the glue on as it wont stick very well if you don't(learned that the hard way).

Thanks for the pics! Did you simply have an extra prefilter laying around or did you intentionally by extra to make yours?

With some of the "sales" this weekend, I may need to buy extra.

Thanks again for the pics,
