Here are 6 cory cat fry. They are about 6 days old. There are 2 generations in the fry tank. A bunch of these little fellows. Approx 4mm long. The tails are transcluent hard to see in the photo. Even at this stage, they can move so fast i can hardly see where they go.

Great job....depending on the species of corydoras breeding successfully and rearing them together is quiet an achievement. I ran a pet shop for about 10yrs. I absolutely love African cichlids from Malawi.

I have just 1 Bronze female 2 much smaller males. The female lays eggs - sticks them to the glass about every 2 weeks. My method is frequent water changes- its pure water here- right outta the tap- run the tank about 70-72 degrees. In the wild, they spawn during the rainy season. I try to mimic this. After eggs are laid, Wash hands with Kirks Castle soap, Remove eggs with fingers- re attatch them in the fry tank- Air stone- no carbon in the filter, Foam on the intake, A very weak mixture of Kordon Methyline Blue, prevent fungus. Run the fry tank at 78 degrees. With the eggs that are fertile, I have a 95+% hatch. If the eggs detach -fall to the bottom before hatch, the fry expend much greater enegry excaping the egg case- they spin circles.- its best to re attach to the glass.-

I bought a 36 gallon bow front- stand- bunch of stuff- 100 bucks. The lady favored Cichlids. She over fed- over medicated the tank, Fish kicked the bucket, she burt out and sold. Myself, I use undergravel filters, all 4 uplifts, then external filters to boot. Have about a 3-4 week cycle time before balance happens. The only thing i put into the tanks is weak mix of rock sea salt after cycle.-

Yup, Right on the calender, the corys are going at it, Female has her fins closed with eggs ready to stick to the tank- I will be staying here for 4-5 hours gathering eggs.- Laid eggs on the 7th- today is the 17th. Many Cories!

Cat factory! Cory cats---

Yes. Keep them until they reach 1/4" -1/2". Then sell them. The boys are really feeling there oats- On the 24th, Momma stuck about 130-140 eggs on the glass. Placed these into a 1/2 gallon glass jar suspended inside a 5 gallon tank- 2 drops of Methline Blue anti fungal- Started hatching on the evening of the 27th. Got up @ 4 am on the 28th to clean the 5 gallon fry tank- Baking soda- filtered water- Set that tank up- Then used airline tubing to gently suck the newly hatched fry- deposit them into the 5 gallon tank. got done @ 9 am. Looked at the breeders in the 20 gallon tank- They were going at it agan-- Had a Dr. appointment @ 10:45- MRI - 25 year old right knee injury- pulled it outta socket- popped it back in- kept working-- oh well- After the mri, went and bought another tank- Its set up and running- The 27th eggs are suspened in a 1/2 gallon glass jar in a new 10 gallon tank. Then mowed the yard- before the big wind-rain arrives. Weather warnings have been posted, Its almost time to mix up some gas-oil- run the cars in it- Love riding dirt bikes and the r-c cars in inclement weather!!! My 3 doughnuts ran out long ago, its time to actually eat- Getting wobbly---. For sale- Bronze Cotrydoras in time for the winter months--!! Perhaps use the $$ for a new XB with a kick ass motor--- lol!

Yep, makes me feel good also. My contribution to the world. The Bronze cats are the most common. Sell for approx 4-5 bucks. There are hundreds of types of these critters.- mostly fron the Amazon basin. There is a big time shop back east, Aquarium fish.net. They import a few lesser known types. Some of these sell for $20.00 each. Thing is about wild Cories, They breed during the rainy season in the wild. Trick is- run the tank 74-76 F, When a storm arrives and the air pressure falls, add cold water suddenly- end up about 65-68 F. this tricks them into thinking they are in the Amazoin basins weather- Whats perplexing- falling- rising air pressure has no change to a liquids pressure- it does not compress- soo- how do water creatures sense this change?- In the wild, an appproaching storm causes mud- leaves- bugs to hit the water- but in a fish tank, none of these telltale signs are present. Yea, Cories hearing is connected to there swim bladder- this could very well be a factor on there picking up changes to weather- just a guess. Oh, shipping fish is easy- actually higher mortality cross country than from the fish store to a persons home- heat packs- or ice packs depending on climate. Air freight.

Ship them? Really? That's impressive.

I think that would be extremely stressful. Lots of shaking and bouncing around even with the fragile sticker.
