Hey guys, could any of you guys measure a set of stock Rampage front shocks for me? I need the eye to eye length of the shock fully extended and a eye to eye length fully compressed. I'm trying to find some decent alloy shocks for my FG Baja that are short enough that don't cost a left nut like the FG ones do.

If anybody has a Rally those lengths would come in handy too.

how about those-http://cgi.ebay.com/4-Silver-Alloy-Oil-Shocks-1-5-Scale-150-160-mm-FG_W0QQitemZ270517385259QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_ToysGames_RadioControlled_JN?hash=item3efc17b82b
Hey those should work fine. At $60 they are worth trying out. I'm concerned about spare parts and rebuild but they're cheap enough that I can buy a 2nd set. Thanks for posting that link! :)

stay away from those ebay ones.-well car-online sells also in ebay:)they also got many products-made in china
btb had a set and nothing but problems. -my brother had those shocks that you recommended -they arent not exactly "nothing but troubles"but they will leak after 2 work hours(silicone oil) and don't work good.

thats also true that i don't have a clue how good those "rc new uk" ones are:confused:

hey catchaser, i´ve seen the gpm-shocks on a FG-MT 4WD in action, they work realy fine and smooth, i have a FG-MT 2WD and i know about the stock shocks, normally they last 4ever, but they never really come back up :)

but at first don´t buy the shocks at rc-car-online, just look for some on ebay, because rc-car-online is expensive, i ordered a lot of things there, because i´m from germany and i´ve you order it here 2.30PM they promise you to have it in the mail the next day.

But yeah, these shocks are working great on FGs.

I ended up modding stock Rampage front shocks. I had to do some lathe work and threading which only took an evening. The result is great though. I can now run 5B rezzies and phatdad shafts on a friggin FG :)
