Was Psyched today, just got my new CPI pipe in the mail and TR quick change diff. Tore the truck apart, wrestled with the diff but after some filing finally got it to fit. Man was i bummed when i went to install the pipe and realized it wouldn't fit. The top curve of the pipe is hitting the top fins on the engine. Its leaving me about a 1/4 in gap from pipe to gasket.
Anyone else had this problem? Im still trying to rack my brains to figure out a fix.

think hes got it covred now. he thought the header was welded to the pipe under his piece of silicone. He said he ll take a look later.

it should be 2 piece, so not a big issue.

Yep im a spaz,
2 pieces, it was so tight that when looking up the pipe and reefing on it i thought it was welded. Couldnt find spare gasket so went to DDM to order one and ended up gettong Turtle Racing Clutch System, DDM springs, Yammadude linkage, wheel extenders, Velocity Stack etc etc etc.
Wow that $2 gasket was expensive!!
Will let ya know how the pipe goes after all the goodies are on.

Same problem guys, thanks for the help though. Installed header then pipe. The pipe seems to slide fine over header but then makes contact with the top of the engine cooling fins leaving me with the mounting holes still needing to move forward about 1/4 to line up. Going to call Large Scale RC in a couple of days to see if they will switch it out for me.
