hello

I was wondering if the aluminum gear plate being sold right now uses the

aluminum drive squares the plastic plate have or are they using pins to align

the gears. I was also wondering what hardware the gear plate comes with/or

what do I need to use the steel gears with it. Because using the stock plastic

gears and worries about them vaporizing sucks because i have the 29cc head kit engine at ddm

I use plastic gears and so does krypt and he said he has 8 gallons on a set. I was going to get the steel gears but I ended up getting some mcd gears instead. I run a 28.5 race ported engine with a z rc tall intake manifold and a walbro 813 carb 7500 clutch spring and no gear wear yet. I believe it's all about prefrence. But I am sure the aluminum gear plate has to be more stable.

ya, like fast lane says. 2 of my 3 rigs have plastic gears. i vent the gear cover on my TT and romp the snot out of it. it has slightly over 8 gallons and 2 motors on this set. they are pretty worn as im not carefull with them, but their still going. my on-road MT has 2.5 gallons with no gear cover and they look brand new. my other MT has the steal gears that you are refering to with the pins(prototype from hsp). the alloy plate comes with some bits for mounting but im not really sure what they are. you can use the stock set-up that cames off the plastic gear plate; bearings, layshafts and so on. i would like to say you are 100% bash proof with the alloy plate and steel gears but i am not yet convinced. their has been somke carnage with certain steel gears.

i was wondering if you know kryptonite if and when hsp could be releasing that

prototype plate and gears and if they are selling it could you provide a link to

where to get it

i don't know if they will. its on their website. i got mine to test from redcat/rampagehopups, but they decided to go with the himoto gears instead. i had or have had no issues with my set-up unlike the himoto gears wich is a crap shoot.

hi

could someone put up some links to the different gear plates please

well that sucks kryptonite man if I had the access to machine tools i used to in

school i would just make/modify the gears and current plate to accept pins

right now I have a manual mill that I made in tech school thats sitting in my parents garage with no room to use it. I cant wait to get my own house :D
