Current KM build, missing anything?

for me, i never had a metal pawled one, all plastic or carbon fiber or whatever it is, but the collar around the pawl is main thing, you need to make sure it has. the TR ones nice, but i can buy 3 regular collared ones off ebay for that price from DDM

Yea I agree on the price, I went with the TR for looks/cooling/they make a rebuild kit for the internals.

yah seen that in writeup, you can get the OWB from DDM for it. i still have that stupid drive shaft starter i got off ebay for mine, i tried it, but my 14.4 volt drill didnt have the BA%^&^'s to turn it very well, i could start it, but not as easily as rope starter would. someday if i find a good high rpm drill i may put it back on again.

Yea I have some good drills already but thing is that system plus a decent drill
if you don't have one already is just as expensive if not more haha

yeah but the tr ps housing has a flaw and has been recalled so it can be corrected, and there are instructions floating around of what the end user can do to fix it themselves in case tey don't want to send it in.

first it costs to much for what it is (sorry just my opinion)
cost of it obviously doesn't justify quality (again just what i am seeing since it has to be machined around the pull rope area)
looks good but looks are unimportant if you are going to cover it up with an outerwears anyway.


just stick with the stock PS assembly with 1 exception and that exception is the killer rc stainless steel pull start cable

well initially, i got the drill starter setup for it cause of the screwed up ps after 2 tanks, then when i found out my drill would barely roll it, the compression is high on this motor, i went with the collared pawl ps's.

the writeup said starter needs a drill with like 1400 rpm, at least, most drills i looked at are way under that, and only ones i found that were are so dang pricey, like 200 + just for a drill to use on it, ehh, i think unless i run across a used one somewhere, i wont be reinstalling it, so i may put it up for sale for my cost, just so i break even on it.
