I figured it was the gravel. I am reluctant to run without boots, the dirt/dist would be hard on the cv’s.Depending on where you spend your time. Some locations make it impossible to run boots. I spend lots of time in the gravel pits. Boots are gone in minutes.
Running i near desert dry So Cal i use Dry Graphite Lubricant without issue. Any mfg is fine but i use B'laster.I figured it was the gravel. I am reluctant to run without boots, the dirt/dist would be hard on the cv’s.
So, no boots, dry lube...I like the sounds of that. None of the smaller than large scale rc I've owned had boots on the cvs. They seemed to last fine. I just replaced all the boots at my 5ive B because of cracking.Running i near desert dry So Cal i use Dry Graphite Lubricant without issue. Any mfg is fine but i use B'laster.
Mine dry rotted in 3 years. Lol. Not damaged from the terrain. I guess keep using the boots. Thanks for your explanation bud.IMO it all depends on where you live an terrain. For boots you are supposed to grease them and in So Cal that grease collects the fine powder, decomposed granite and small rocks i have terrain wise and they lasted about 2 packs. If lived in a "Wetter" terrain then i would run them all day long. On my dirt bikes i use dry lube and chains/sprockets last for 3 seasons no problem.
Try dry lube for a few packs or a tank or two and decide.
So the vesla comes without them.Well I am up in the air on this. Some of mine have boots like the DBXL and others no boots like the Kracken Vesla.
Really makes me wonder what the best route is to go on this. Grease and a boot is fine until the boot gets damaged then it is a dirt magnet. Just don't know ?
Correct. The Vesla Gas (Can't confirm Electric) and the Vekta 5 TT, Vekta 5E and Losi 5T 2.0 don't have boots. So the vesla comes without them.
Wait...so even losi no longer puts boots on any of their large scale rigs? Interesting. I haven't seen a 5T in person so I had no idea. V1 or V2.Correct. The Vesla Gas (Can't confirm Electric) and the Vekta 5 TT, Vekta 5E and Losi 5T 2.0 don't have boots.
Ok thank you..Running i near desert dry So Cal i use Dry Graphite Lubricant without issue. Any mfg is fine but i use B'laster.
