CVD's for the rear too!!

Not sure if this has been posted yet, as I have not found it? While installing my new front axle carriers from 7075rc( very nice workmanship ) I had ordered some of the upgrade CVD's as spares. I decided to install them on the front and while replacing my rear bearings I had the dog bone on my workbench sitting next to my stock front CVD. Low and behold, they are within 2-3 mm shorter than the dog bone. I have some pics of the process. I used a 3/8 flat washer as a spacer on the backside of the bearing to move the cvd closer to the diff cup to take up some of the slack. They work great, take out all the slop of the rear drivetrain.

Okay, back now after a half day of checking things out....DO NOT DO AS DESCRIBED ABOVE!!! I was binding my drive train with the above mentioned method. I didn't want to post anything else until I figured out what exactly to do. I got a 19mm OD washer, drilled the hole in the center to slightly bigger than the inside bearing race (14mm) (so as not to interfere with the bearing actually working. Instead of placing the bearing on the outside of the inside bearing on the wheel carrier, I have switched and placed the spacer/washer in the wheel carrier first, then the bearing, then installed the CVD. This allows me the take up the slack (1.6mm) without hindering the axle riding on the bearings inner race.
