I was running my truck and after a while, I lost my top end power. I brought the truck back and noticed that my pipe cracked along a weld. So, removed it and welded it back and still have no top end. I re-tuned it starting at factory settings and still can't get top end or power band? The cylinder and piston look fine and still has good compression. I just purchased some new fuel line which I can install tomorrow on my day off and I thought of checking around the carb for air leaks but after that, I'm lost! I also put in a new plug. Starts and idles fine and have power off the line to mid throttle but when I go wot, it bogs badly. I'll find out tomorrow if my fuel line and checking for leaks around the carb did anything but if anyone can come up with anything I may be overlooking, let me know if you could.Thanx....Dave

clunk in tank, check that it isn't plugged

how many tanks thru the engine?

Only about 2 gallons! I'll have the clunk out to replace fuel line anyhow and will check it or just replace it. Hard to imagine only 2 gallons through it since last May but I'd run..break..fix...run...break..fix... so on and on...

Found out I have an air leak around the carb. Replaced the carb gaskets and still leaks. I think its going through the throttle lever.
