CY or Zen?

Hi there, can anybody tell me is it zen or cy head? http://www.davesmotors.com/s.nl/c.885035/n.1/it.A/id.4757/.f is it possible to upgrade rovan 29cc engine using this kit? thanks.

that is a CY kit, but the best one they offer. the plating on them is pretty good.


If the cases i seen was from a KM/Rovan (had clutch housing molded into the cases) then i doubt it would work. you would be far better off buying the full motor for 189.00 and installing it, then trying to install that topend on the Rovan. unless they are using a different type of case.

I think my rovan is different, the clutch housing is a separate piece with 4 bolts. while the KM is single piece, which I believe they call it type 2 engine case.

The Rovan engines are idetical to CY in every way....100% interchangable.

My engine is a bit of a mix....Rovan case...Zen crank...Rovan head...CY piston & ring...Zen pin bearing...crank bearings from the local mower shop.

talk about local mover shop, i got my pair of clutch from there too... pretty cheap.

ok, i thought Rovan and KM used the same motors. good to know, atleast one company appears to have better sides of it.

i got told that my dzy motor was complety different to a c,y and nothing off the c,y would fit it, but it turns out everything fits and they are identical.
