I just got through installing a daves motors big bore kit with a 2mm stuffer crank and a 813 carb on my hy26cc fuelie motor. Let me tell you what a differnce in power i haven't fully broke her in yet but i gps my mt at 40mph with a set of 30/30 gears i borrowed from my brothers mcd car. Next is a 7,500rpm spring for the clutch and taller gears. I will let you know what speeds i get when i install the spring, hopefully it will be broken in by then and can fine tune the carb.

what is the top speed on a standard xt, and how strong are these trucks? I don't know them at all, first time with 1/5 scale as well.

Can you post a link or part # to what head kit you used? I was thinking about swapping out the motor first thing but I figured it would be silly not to at least use that HY so I want to put a descent head on it with new gaskets and good bearings in the crank case and run that beast.

Im assuming he has an unported and unmodified cylinder which is this:

Please note it is not machined for the 30mm crank that comes in the XT/XB 30.5cc motors. If you want to wake up a stock 30.5 from HY speak to Rob64n. If I remember right hes been changing out the head gasket for a .012 thickness to bump the compression up a bit. Maybe he can elaborate further as I have never really ran one.
