Hi all,
I’m new to the forum and just getting into the hobby. A friend gave me a DBXL that needs some work and I can’t figure out if it’s a 1.0 or 2.0 so I can get the right parts. He’s already replaced a bunch of stuff and I can’t find any model numbers or anything. I know it has a Zenoa engine with a head kit, and silver chassis. The body is a Team Losi design and it does not flip back, it comes completely off. I’m not sure what else there is to look at to identify it. If anyone can help please let me know. I’ll try to post some pics later.

Best to post pics but if the body/cage assembly doesn’t flip it’s most likely a 1.0 model.

I personally have the 1.0 and my body/cage assembly takes approximately 10 clips to remove it.

Having a Zenoah motor means nothing since both the 1.0 and 2.0 came with CY engines. 1.0 was 23cc vs the 2.0 32cc. Yours sounds to be most likely upgraded. The 2.0 also has a push-pull steering rack vs the single input unit on the 1.0 model. The 2.0 also has dual rear chassis braces and a torque rod and a 4mm stiffening plate under the engine to reduce movement during hard impacts.

I’m sure others will list more differences but like I suggested, put some detailed pictures up for better references.
