Hi, i have a new rampage tt with a 29cc ddm engine and a tune pipe. the carb setting is at the factoyru setting. i run a complete tank and i was about to do my second tankl i i'm unable to star it again. i remocve the head becaus i notice some air leak and lose bolt. I tight every thing back. The doesn't start. i prime and put directly gas into the spark plug hole and you notice that the motor will start then i pull the choke off and the motor is like going on but stop. I crank again the same thing. and tehn nothing. The sound when i crank is changing. Big loud sound not the same put , put ,put... When i crank i have compression...

What i can do ... ???

head gaskit is gone my friend. I will tell you why. Your pipe is mounted too tight. I know it sounds funny but it's true. Get a new head gasket"I prefer copper" then loosen the back mount on your pipe and rubber mount "just snug" the front pipe mount. A lot of us hade the same problem. Hope this helps.

sorry you are having problems.. i just bought the same motor for a scooter for my neices and nephews and i couldnt be happier.. its the easiest starting motor i have.

make sure you are getting complete spark. then make sure your getting fuel, take it from there... MAKE SURE YOUR LOW SPEED IS SET RIGHT.. i couldnt get my 23cc to start right until i reset the low speed for some reason.. then prime the bowl 30 times.. take the plug off and see if its wet, if its wet. turn the car over and crank it a few. put the plug back in pprime 3 times.. if it doesn't start now, check ur head gasket

found the problen can you help me ?

i just check the engine and i notice a gap between the cylinder and the crank. I see the cylinder moving. I think this is my problem ! The bolt of this side is not enough tight.

what king of gasket do i have to use copper or the blue one. What tickness to use.

it's a common problem or just a bad luck ? does my motor will be o.k. with a new cylinder gasket ?

Can i do a fortune repair to be able to use it before i receive a new gasket ? How ???

Thanks

Dan

You need to use a .020" gasket on stock engines that DO NOT have a +2mm stroker crank. If you are running a 36mm engine cylinder and it's a 29cc then you have a regular non-stroked crank which requires a .020" gasket. You can tell by looking at the gasket what size it is. A .020" stock gasket is .5mm thick. A .040" is 1mm thick. Take a look at the gasket you have. I bet you won't need another one if the head bolt came loose.

I knew it was a head issue. Glad you found your problem. catchaser is right also you can run with the gasket as long as it's not tore up.
