Just De-anodized my 5B/SS and left the alloy in the 'clean water' too long.Have to give it a quick flush tomorrow.
5 mins to clean it after the caustic with gloves in fresh water and a 3M abrasive and that should do the job,but no longer than 5!

Andy it sounds like the mumblings of:confused: mad man

What you mean left it too long? Has it gone black?

No mate,If you leave it ,the reminants of the colour tend to stick to the bare metal. It fades to grey(no pun on the 80's group VISAGE) It just dulls, that's all.A quick dip in the fluids of hell will sort it out.
