i have finally decided to get the Rampage MT v3. should have it by the 2nd week of Feb. (tax return haha) my question is what are some of the things i need to get to be able to drive this thing right out of the box before it gets here? besides lock tight all the screws etc. will i need to upgrade the carb right a way, the servos, clutch or can these things wait a bit? I have not decided on the pipe yet. and can somebody refer me a good break in method, thanks all

+1 on killer bee throw the failsafe that comes with the truck in the trash. the servos have been known to crap out on first runs mine included. luckily my t/b servo locked up in full brake the other way would have been a real problem so when i bought a d/r i knew better than run it before installing killer bee and a good thing too because within the first few days of running the t/b servo on it locked up in WOT and the bee saved the day. you can wait until servos die before replacing them but you can't undo the damage done by a runaway 40lb. 30mile an hour beast and if you get lucky and don't hurt anyone or anything else you can make a mess of your nice new truck. so do yourself a favor get the bee first a pipe second than just fix what you break and breaking these things ain't that easy they're one tuff truck other than the bodies been though about six of them. good luck and have a ball with your new m/t.

i use Hitech HS-5755MG for steering but they have been replaced with 5765 but i think DDM still has some can't remember what the Hitech # for t/b i'm using i'll have to look and get back to you.

You won't be sorry. When I'm tuning the carb on a WOT run I hit the kill and let the buggy coast in so I can check the plug color. So it's more then a Safety item, it's part of the tool box.
