can your mix dgi gears with the stock ones or are they a different cut

The DBXL has a smaller shaft with a taper cut in gear
The 5ive won't fit it if my memory is right

the dgi gears are for the dbxl just wondered if I could mix the stock gears with them to get a different ratio
