A while back i bought a diesel conversion for my nitro 1/10 scale truck and it was awesome. so i was wondering if anyone knows of a diesel motor for a 1/5 scale? Thatd be sweet.

I'd like to know that too JB. How did it work on the nitro? Is it just regular diesel or do you have to buy specialized stuff? Any pics/vids on it?

We used to run diesel engines in our Junior 60s (when I were a lad). They were
weird with a screw in the top of the engine which you could screw in to tune it.
I would like to see how they get Diesel to work on a two stroke engine, I'm guessing they will have to modify the fuel quite a bit.

detriot diesels made/make a 2 stroke diesel that was supercharged (called them screaming jesus cos they wailed like hell)...were fitted in TS14 and TS24 motor scrapers and off road dump trucks...it's where the 6/71, to 16/71 blowers originally came from.. but the motors had valves...but a diesel 2 stroke on a larger scale can be done
I would think if diesel would be a better performer the moto cross etc companies would be testing it out.

Interesting thread indeed, i would like to know more about this if it exists. Would be cool for sheer torque alone, in tractor pulls for example.

It would be interesting to put one in the hill climbing truck that roofchopper is building. Make it sound and look like the real thing.
My brother in law told me he saw the Audi diesel series at Seabring the past couple of years and those things kill on the track.
