Hi there,
just in the process of rebuilding my diff at the moment, all the parts have arived but i forgot to order diff grease while i was at it :(. so, what would be the best brand of grease and what viscosity would i need for a fairly tight diff??weve been into some agricultural stores and hardware shops today but none of them seem to have very thick grease, one of them recommended red grease as it is heat resistant but do the diffs get hot??
Thanks
Toby:)

Hi guys,
oookkkk,
rite i took the car out the other day and the play-doh worked for about five minutes an then it obviously broke loose:(:(
the problem im having is that i cant get the power down when im going through a corner so i thought putting play doh would defiantly lock it but it seem not..
so does anyone know where i can get some THICK grease from to stiffen my diff up??
btw. my diff doesn't seem to have any shims in it?? doe these help with reducing the slip or what purpose do they hold??
Thanks
Toby:)

I run 30k weight in my Diff and it does a good job with out totally locking up your diff, If you totally lock it up you will loose all turning when under power. they have the oil at DDM.

I got a pot in one of my orders, i put my screw driver in to see what it was like and though thats way too thick lol, it's almost like putting a screw driver into tile adhesive.
