I noticed on the search that most use 5k- 7k on their diff. Has anyone used 10k and what did you think? Did you have any maintenance issues? No racing intended, just bashing around. Thanks!

as viscosity increases rigidity thru the drive train rises, since cats are fix center units anything higher than 10k can produce drive failure before fluid stiff diff. ...like 30k is basically fluid locker...so too much is break prone, and steering falls off as things stiff up.

10k or less . higher in front lower in back , like 10k frt/5k rear and if your terrain is firmer the 7k/3k like grass. if loss stuff is present then 10k/5k may work better. wear is not an issue and for bash maybe change couple hundred hours but breakage will give opportunities as well . hope it helps

some terrains need it like sand /paddles

10k won't be an issue. Just know what you gain and what you lose by going with a thicker diff fluid.

Awesome help, thanks fellas! Chart was a great help. I think I'm going with 5k up front and 7k in the rear. Any thoughts?

7k front and 5k rear, is it a RC rampage /MT, right ? or losi with center diff.?

with the fixed center gear, the center of portion of the chart does not apply. (except the thicker behavior is what its most like)

the front and rear certainly apply
