ta

so you rekon higher than 75k be better for offroad, what about 100k fella?

like i say atm its VERY loose, even when turning 1 wheel by hand in the air, the other just stays put :s

Hey, what diff is it? if its the standard FG it runs with grease....if you put some nice thick grease in there should be good....

as super says oil will just leak out of the standard diff it needs grease

i use this one its what FG sell but in a larger tube......you don't want to

know the cost :lol::lol:

you can seal your plastic diff up, however the outdrives will still leak. my aluminum diff sealed up doesn't leak at all, however im running the thickest fluid i can get (ofna 120k wt) and it still feels like an open diff at the tires. next thing id like to try would be ofna diff lock grease, however at 300k wt i don't yet know how ill get it in.

I've got 300k in mine - I heated it up first in hot water!!
I needed to repeat the process several times as the bottle cooled and it took a couple of days to fill enough!
I've now bought 500k and we'll see ..... !!!!!:glare:

silicone dude, this is what ive heard but ive never sealed mine & touch wood its been fine, i fitted a new steel sleeve & had a tiny bit off leek at 1st to be expected, but after a run or 2 it stopped & was fine, but couple of years on it now feels as if there is no greese in my diff! there prob is but its just broken down & no longer does the job :s

yea doing well mate getting a couple of years out of a diff, ive blown two in 9months:trout:

ouch! :(

have you fitted a steel sleeve dude? because the stock ones are like putty! ..even after i ran mine for the 1st time (on road!) no off road, my sleeve looked like someone had been at it with a pick axe! so got a steel cover, been solid so far :)

lol :D ive been toyin wit the idea of getting an adjustable diff but there pretty pricey & very rarely any on feebay :( but none on ebay i guess is a good sign, means people keep em & don't wanna sell em cuz theyre good! :)
