What are the differences between the Dunerunner and the Rampage MT other that the obvious wheels, tires and chassis.?

They share some of the same mechanics, but there are many differences. Gearing, suspension, shock towers, fuel tank, longer drive shafts and much more. The two platforms are laid out differently.

So let me ask it this way. What if you were to cut a new chassis with the MT rear (from the throttle servo back) and add the Dunerunner front (longer length and steering components)? It looks to me that you would have more or less a mid engine buggy. There would be the issue of the front drive shaft and the diffs if the gearing is different. just a thought. I have a Dunerunner and am getting an MT and noticed the differences. Being 4WD it would be kind of cool I think!

I don't race. Mostly bash but do run on the dunes. I noticed the difference between the MT and DR and thought that the DR would be better balanced with the engine farther forward.

Its going to be alot of work with little return. Just being honest.

I sold my dunerunner and ended up buying a MT.

What I'm going to do is just grab a rampage tt body if i want to do the buggy look, and a set of wheels. Might also want to change the gears too, but i already have both sets of gears, and another set of wheels/tires.
