Been having a bit of fun with these - fitted to the FG MT, with TS 2-bolt 28.5 reed engine so it 'motors'!!

Donuts ahoy, burnouts, until the rubber's nicely warmed up and it really 'bites'.
Tyres and wheels are holding up to my abuse, amazingly, without too much wear - slight ridges where the tyre's joined have now disappeared.
I can get reasonably grip on smooth, dry grass, but don't expect ANY once damp!
A bit different, and relatively good value.

had them on my fgbaja on the rear and fg truck rear slicks on the front..loved em

Tires come in M,M1 or S,S1
those grades will depend on how much grip you get during different temperatures

yes i have a set of these, i got the sld slicks(not made anymore)there are the cheaper ones from china out there too for around £80 for two. they have so much grip ,no need to warm up .
only thing is they balloon like crazy when going over 60mph, once over 70mph the rear of the car sits 2 inch higher lol and thats with 22/42 gears so get an idea of how big they get, normally with these gears only 50mph is achieved.
a great tyre.

These look fairly well used, but I can't believe you can still see the mould/join marks!!
On mine, they've well gone already, but I'm busy doing donuts and burnouts.
Agreed on the grip of the Chinese ones - it's really quite good, and one 'standing burnout' against a wall had to be assisted, to start - lift the back up.
When swinging it around doing donuts, they do balloon quite substantially!!

The GRP F1 tyres are very good but since PMT tyres fell out of favour, there will be/should be boxes of their F1 tyres on shelves in largescale stockists at the right money.

they were pretty new there when my old fg still had some plastic parts on it , the slicks were the originals that were made in France that then became extinct..had 4 and regretted selling them as i thought they were gone for good , then i found them on alibaba a few months ago.. was looking for them as i was thinking of gluing paddles on them for my foff jeep..just wish they came with hpi hex as well

Dimensions and profiles are identical, but only 'RC-TW Racing' on the walls instead of what you have.
I've even scrubbed the fronts so the 'joins' aren't that visible during yesterday - great fun blasting up and down!!

going to take the fg out at the weekend with these badboys, i use fg lorry slicks on the front.i had to reglue one once as it came loose at high speed
this time i will try short gears so its snappy off the line

Yeah, must admit it is good fun!!
All's a tad wet for now - that drizzle that seems incessant for hours and soaks right through, so I'll hope for a little sunshine later, or simply take the LST2 out for a little blast.

looks like youre right!!!damn weather, looks like the slicks will have to come off.

last year i brought 4 of these big boys and 4 fg lorry slicks.Ran them a few times on the marder and hormann on the slighly warm days through the winter but we've had all this bloody sun in the last two weeks and i haven't had them out .
typical lol.
ive tried them on a cool surface and were pretty good then, i cant wait to use them on hot tarmac, should be a blast and hoping the front wheels will keep contact with the floor.

do you mean ndor(notts derby offroad)
they have the stock car circuts too. ive been a few times before christmas but haven't been back since, a little bashing around notts or mansfield dessert.
im going through one of those stages where i don't use the cars as much as i usually do.
i see from your avatar that you probably go there yourself?

Still too damned wet!!
Tuesday was spent watching TV, and the truck sat 2 metres away!!
It was out a couple of times over the weekend, but spinning away with anything more than very careful throttle use!!
Good fun for a while - was trying to teach myself some patience - didn't work!! Went back in.
Looks like the chevrons will be back on soon if this keeps up.
Who would believe there's still a hosepipe ban in the South East? !!! :w00t::rolleyes:

i did have a run with the on road the other day and untill it rained was great fun but even a few drops of rain changed the car so much it was like driving on ice gutted and its been pissing it down since and i cant be bothered with the bug at the mo it just takes to long to clean after a wet run
