Your diff housing is not what you put the fluid in , you must dissasemble the housing and remove the carrier that is what the fluid goes in, sorry to be the bearer of bad news!

The gears in the diff case will just take some white lithium grease.

White lithium grease works well. Use it in all my R/C's.
