Differential Outdrives and Rear Axle Stubs. Question.

Swap the cups out left to right. It will give you more time on them before they hang up and eject the dog bones.

Be careful when you pull them out of the diff. Hold the diff on it's side with the stub axles up and down. If you have the stubs left and right the diff will drop and it will be a pain in the ass to get the stubs back in.

Or just replace them!

Wow, that's a good idea. Thanks

Your talking on a Firehammer right? Or FG?

That is very common on the Firehammers to wear the out drives. I have had a new set not last for a week and others months. Get yourself a few extra pairs and swap them around likie Trip said, often to get the most out of them. It stinks they are softer then FG outdrives but good they are a 1/4 the price.:)
Ball drives would eliminate the problem but its a costly upgrade.:(

The outdrives have the same ends on them. I have the upgraded ones on the MT after snapping a few. The FG's are much harder but that is why they snap easier. The firehammers don't snap as easy but wear 100% faster. You can have it one way or the other but we still female dog no matter which way we have it.
