Dirt inside engine

Today i removed the air filter and found a lot of dirt inside the velocity stack, all the trough the carb and most likely inside the engine.

Doont know how much it has been running like this, but i haven't noticed any issue with the engine while running.

Im going to disasemble the engine and clean all parts.

I cant find any info about this problem. Is really bad dirt geting inside? that even cleaning will not be sufficient?

im gonna have to replace something?

Well it did not do it any good that's for sure I'd fix the leak where it's getting in and run it till it slows down or blows up
Or you could put piston and ring in it and check bearings
If it doesn't show signs of ware on cylinder marks I'd run it

Try and find the leak - and stop it - perhaps needs an extra outer filter, more oiling, etc.
If its running well, unless you want to remove, strip down, rinse out every crevice hoping to find the little grains, I'd for for the 'if it ain't broke ...' approach, and start budgeting the replacement ....

Remember, 'breakage' is just another word for 'upgrade opportunity'!!

Same thing happened to me. I was running on a ball field.....really fine dust. The stuff got all up inside the engine. I just took the thing apart, cleaned it, Changed the bearings, put it back together and ran it. Took the carb apart and cleaned that too.

Thank you all for the help. That filter was very dirty. Also i run on very dry an thin dirt. I hate it because the car gets so dirty.

For now i cant disasemble the engine beacuse i don't have the piston stoper. Im going to order one. Is going to be the firts time i do this.

What do you recomend to clean the engine parts?

There really isn't much inside the engine. I used denatured alcohol. Don't forget to replace the gaskets.
