There is a trick to prevent dirt or wet sand build up inside the wheel? It makes the wheel badly unbalanced.

I see a small piece of metal at DDM, but I wonder if it really work?

Glue or BeadLock setups?

If its a beadlock setup for a baja rim, one of the best options is to use Silverback Lipped outter and Silverback Inner Beadlock rings. before you screw them down, use a rtv (clear silicone caulk) and run a thin bead of it around the rim bead area, then seat the tire to the bead, then apply another small Thin bead around the tire and set the bead lock on and screw into place.
The Silver Back BLs are really stiff, but quite maluable, so they take the abuse of the wheels and the caulk seals them up air tight.

all you have to watch is to not depress, or have an unequal ambient air pressure in the wheel as you seat the last beadlock ring.

i made some wheel scrapers you can buy them but there easy to make, i had the same problem with mud bulding up on the inside of my wheels and it was adding a lot of extra weight to the wheels , i will put some pics,up later on how to make them.

Timmah, I think i see one of your post somewhere running foamless with paddle tire, beadlock sealed, etc... very nice idea, I will do that later for sure since my paddle are a little out of balance, I suspect some sand in the tire.

On all my nitro rc tire I punched 4 hole with a leather punch to allow the sand to escape the tire, it worked really well........

Now what I mean is buid-up inside the rim, (hpi wheel/sand paddle) I clean the build up whit my finger but 2 min later the rim are full again and that make the wheel very very unbalanced, + the extra weight it add.

Wheel scrapper is a good idea but I wonder if it hold up because these things are beaten hard, and a too heavy scrapper can damage the rim if something goes wrong.

I want to see some pic of that scrapper..?

ok got ya. i thought you ment inside the wheel itself not the inner rim area.

thats a mess that is hard to cure. those wheel/rim scraper setups are about all that can help.

Made these myself mate in about 20 mins. Dead easy. You just need the right metal.

Just a case of a little bending and drilling. They work well tho. Used them right through a very muddy british winter and they are still perfect.
