I like to buy things that I can actually use. besides it looking good and being billet, does it really help the function of the truck? Anybody have these and can say it improve chasis flex?
I really thought Losi design this truck to have specific flex points in the chasis.

I can see chassis flex as a way to tune in an on road set up but in off road, I think there are so many variables that flex isn't really measurable. Shocks are much more forgiving and will soak up any extra chassis flex through turns anyways (in my opinion) With my near $300 pipe mounted to the chassis, flex isn't something I want my chassis to do. The pipe doesn't seem that bendy, lol. I'm going to see if my local shop can get these in decent time, if not, they're in my shopping cart as I write this

It should eliminate some flex, not improve flex...by that I mean eliminating flex is improving it. That did not translate well, I'm sure of it.

If anyone have or getting these, please update. If it's just for billet looking good factor, I don't care much for it.

Mine are on the way. They can't be a bad thing. They're meant to stop chassis flex and I'm sure billet aluminum is stronger than plastic :/ they're less expensive than the others too.

They look great but Losi plastic is some of the best there is and the was the forces are applied to these parts front to back opposed to a side load I feel the stockers will be good to go on this rig. The span isn't even close to the 5ive. Witch I do run alloy braces, I did order the 1" DGI extenders, they are wider than the craftwerks that are made for the 5 and required some shimming. I'm new to DGI parts but the push rods are as nice as the ones I have on the 5's at half the price, IMHO widening this thing is way more important than the braces. And must do if you put a big mill in it. The CW cut the tippyness by more than 50% so the DGI's outa solve it. And I can make proper extended protectors for it seeing I have an order for them lol. Sorry for getting off topic question before the DBXl came out had anyone heard of DGI? Where is the center diff carrier at least a top plate. I've cracked mine at the screw holes

I have those in the picture and I took them out again.
Everytime I run with them, the 2 bolts in the bottom break.
I run on a very bumpy and hard dirt track, and stock oil in the shocks.
I might try running a lighter oil in the shocks to see if that will stop them breaking bolts.
So far the plastic ones are the only ones that doesent make other stuff break on it.

Edit:
If you want alu, then choose the ones with the little nob in the middle between the bolts.
Those in the pic does not have the nob, the FID ones does.
(The original plastic ones have the nob, and it helps take stress of the bolts)

I think I'm going to make my own. I have some plate aluminum, pretty handy with a dremel..I will just cut away anything that's not the brace...
