Does anybody use rovan tires?

then you aren't running it right, I have seen many blow out the sidewalls and shred

I didn't realize there was a right way and a wrong way to run tires. Care to share the correct way to run tires?

So, if I run the tire "right" I'll blowout the side wall of Rovan and KM tires, but the Hostiles and Proline will survive?

Besides, how do you blow out the side wall? I guess if your bouncing off the pipes or constantly using the wall to help your lack of driving ability I suppose that could happen.

WOT will break a lot of things. Never seen a tire balloon and blow?

Only on a mod sedan running a 3.5 with turbo doing 90mph. You may be surprised to know the measly rpm a baja tire turns at top speed. Maybe when I'm bored I'll figure it out for you.

Thanks for the tip, next time I race I'll use WOT.... wait... that won't work, I'll need more tires and end up DNFing. aaagggghhhhh..... what to do, what to do....

Seriously... if tires are blowing out on a baja either they've been damaged during the run OR possibly they're just of poor quality. However, I personally haven't experienced this with ROVAN or KM tires even when I do go WOT. Yes,... I've done it a few times. :D

Blowing out the sides you are using cheap bead locks or they was cut some kind of a way damaged already I race almost every weekend and use all tires KM Rovan Proline and Hostile I have never had a tire blow out because it has gone to WOT. I have seen tires blow but it had nothing to do with because it was a KM or rovan tire. The stock HPI bead locks are crap and I have seen several of those tire blow from the bead locks it has nothing at all to do with the tire.

Hello that would be correct I been running Rovan & km tires for years never had a problem with them. The problem with blow outs are that most plastic /nylon bead locks the inner edges are way to sharp & will in fact cut into your tire at high rpms. Even most rims if you look at carefully the outer edges are way to sharp & will cut into your tire at high rpm even if you own proline or top brand tires. I have noticed this in al my rims & bead locks so I took 220 sandpaper & lightly sanded the edges of rims & bead locks to round them & guess what no blown tires. So as a big r/c Hobbies I 'am this is just a little tip for my fellow fifth scalers.

I got them in yesterday. It was only $5 for expedited shipping from China so I was like might as well. (rather then the 2-3 week free shipping option)

They are heavier than my little scale can handle..... so heavier than 350gs which im sure we already known....

I really think these will perform well. The foams are a little hard but no harder than my losi nomads. Im also digging the rims. Wheels and rims by madmax. It says Big Fat Rc on the tire. I can kinda see how your saying the beadlocks are sharp. These don't look bad... But they are still on the tire so its hard to tell

I forgot to add. Im using the stock baja front tires. Its a rovan so... ya. its already got rovan tires. They seemed ok which is why I ordered more... The fronts seemed to not be the issue when I was at a track. It was the back end spinning out every turn.

Great hope you enjoy them. Changing form the stock oil in the diff to a better oil I use 20K diff oil will help also with the handling and spinning out the rear. The extenders on the rear which will give you a wider stance will help also.
