Does this look normal?

while repalcing the base gasket i notice this, does it look normal? Im refering to the gap between the teflong gasket and the billet inlet.

don't know how long its been like this but its never had an air leak before the base gasket went!

that looks mad it don,t look normal, but if it aint broke don,t fix it.

Its just that you have tightened it too much.There still will be a seal there though.

i had same problem use a shorter bolt that holds carb on or cut little bit of the ends so it just short of them touching sorted

your carb bolts are too long by a couple millimeters. you ll want to put a nut on them, then cut off about 2 mm of the ends of the threaded area, then take the nut off to chase the threads clean, and re install. you may want to get a new Teflon gasket. as they can warp if bent and heated.
