Dog bone pins breaking XBE 8s

Hi all

I have been having a issue with the rear dog bone pins snapping :mad: on my XBE. I am running an 8s set up and the pins that are closest to the diff are snapping, is there a cure for this as my next up grade is ruining the 24mm hex with larger wheels but I feel I mite have more problems. I have notice that the drive cups on the diff are getting a bit worn , is this my problem ?

I had the same problem with my Chimera with breaking the dog bone pins I started using the smooth shafts of old drill bits with the same diameter so far it's been working great for me
 
Thanks for the info, I have seen a few guys doing this mod. I have just replaced the rear diff cups and got hold of some replacement dog bone pins. I have also just ordered some hpi axle boots to give that a try just to add some protection to the diff and axle cups on the rear.
