Don't even think about starting your Engine without a clutch bell..

Don't do it!!!! I did and I was lucky. It's because without the clutch bell, there's nothing to stop the clutch from over engaging and stretching the spring, and the spring could fly off and hit you, which would obviously result in some serious injury! So don't do it

LOL...I learned the hard way with gas hedger engine ,I wanted to make sure the engine ran before I bolted it
down to the bell & gear box ,when I fired it up ,the spring flew off an smacked me across the cheek ,it put a
gouge in my face ,an it felt like getting kicked by a mule ,I had literely thought that it took half of my face OFF!
It was a bloody mess an about scared my wife half to death until she had cleaned my face off ,it just punctured
a little hole ,but bled a lot!....
