So i found the sand storm tires after almost 3 months of searching and found it out of all places japan. So when i got it i noticed the inner side of the tire near the beadlock has very minor dry rot but the paddle and sidewall look to be in very good condition. So i wanted to see can i use this and if theres a fix to the dry rot? I mainly bought it just for the sake of looks and if i could use the tire it would be even better.

So if anyone has any suggestions for it i would appreciate it.

Nice find. Sand is the worst thing for rubber as it pulls every last bit of moisture out of it. Even a low powered RC will likely balloon the tire or just a shift in weight via a simple turn may tear the tire from the bead. It really is 50/50 and up to you if you want to run them.

So this is basically the only dry rot, it does not look very bad but it goes around the tire from the inner side with some parts with very little. Can i use a rubber like adhesive to reinforce it?
The paddles are in perfect condition just these spots.

Open the Crack and put some ca glue or rc tire glue if you have it. I had a tear in an mcd on road tire from catching a nail, super glued it and carried on with no issues racing.

I probably will do it, and thankfully i stocked a bunch of things from my trip to japan one of them being ca glue since i cant find any where i live.

But do you think it will hold long term?

That's the stiffest part of the tire so as Rep732 said put some CA/Tire glue on it and run it. I would do the whole lip not just the bad sections and then put on some tire conditioner (Whatever is available locally). Use that before and after each run.

Wd-40 or mineral spirits will help to soften the tire. Just don't let the tires sit in the stuff as it will swell, you want to coat the tires then let them dry. Glue first then soften otherwise I'd doubt the glue will stick.

So i first glue it then i spray some wd40 on it and wipe it off with a towel or do i leave it to dry?

Yes but can be used on a 5ive t without clearance issues if used on the back. If using for the front then you need wheel extenders to clear the steering links. When I raced my 5ives I used baja 5b wheels on all 4 corners.
Oh weird to find out since it was mounted on a tire meant for the 5t but will be using it on my baja or maybe my losi hybrid on the rear. Do you think i should buy fronts to complete the look?
