So I got the dt1 filter, tripple stage...did not know it's glued together?

Thought it was in layers, for cleaning.

I've been using pj1 filter oil...should I continue to use this?

I heard tgn has their own oil?

Any special cleaning tips?

Just make sure you soak it good. Also keep a watch for the seam coming loose between the rubber and the filter. I had one come loose on me and sucked a good amount of crud in an engine. I went back to all Baja filters on my rigs after that mishap.

On my dt1 filters i installed a spring inside about 1inch round and 3inches long to keep the inside from collapsing.gives better air flow.thought i'd share that tip....

Thanks !Anyone running one on a mt ?
I run one on my MT have never had a problem with it as far as cleaning it any air filter oil is fine, I use the same oil as you and when I clean it I use powdered hand soap and hot water works great, the reason some people may be seeing seperation could be using a harsh cleaner causing it to seperate

I have a few of these kept ready to go - stored in a large baggie. I prefer the 2 stage. The last layer on the 3 stage is just too coarse to filter out the trail trash i encounter round here.- On the assorted dt-1 filters i have, the 2 stage has a larger dead air space in the filter.

I can tell you that the dt-1 using a airisol spray is hard to get it oiled correctly if at all 100% imo.The TGN oil and cleaner are great ( oil is more of a water base to fully penetrate the air filter). As far as the cleaner goes if you let it sit in the solvent for a while it will fully remove old oil and dirt. Also keep all your old cleaner as it does a great job cleaning parts outerwares and your hole ride. I use a tooth brush also works great for hard to reach areas as well, then wipe off. Not sure what the cleaner is but almost smells like kerosene & paint thiner mixed?
