With my new FG Challenge Line TC, I've been poking around online to find a manual. The manuals I've been able to find are exploded views and parts listings, and I'm wondering, do these cars come pre-built? If it comes as a kit it would be a pain in the butt to build using the manuals I've downloaded.

Also, the EP version, what's the recommended size of motor, ESC and batteries? Again, I've been researching, and being a 1/10th and 1/8th EP racer I kind of fixed on Hobbywing as a brand I know and trust. I was thinking the MAX5 as an ESC, but what kv motor? 1100 or 1250kv? Also, batteries. 6S or higher?

Last question, I was looking at the Mini body, but it is apparently suited to a 510 chassis, not the 530 one I have. To fit the 510 Mini shell, would that just be a case of bolting on some different body posts with an offset that suits the 510 sized shell, or is it a more complex solution to fit the body to the 530 wheelbase?

Cheers!

yeh all fc's come rtr/pre built or very near to it fella, fg manuals have never been the best anyways,

no idea on the esc/motor,

with that mini body you're gonna be 20 too long on the wheelbase , so no not just a case of changing body posts, the wheels wont sit right in the wheel arches,

I've just found that the FG Challenge Line cars can come in both the 510 and 530 wheelbase, so my question is, where is wheelbase measured from? Axle to axle?

EDIT: Just ran the tape from the centre of the front/rear axle with the steering centred, 530mm. Probably should stop being scared of screwing these things up and just have a go ;)
