Good question. Wondering the same thing myself. My stock body is just about shot and I'd like to personalize my own shell.

Afraid not you have to strip the paint off the stock body if you want to customize the paint.

The Grafil 5b body could be trimmed to fit. The bottom of the front of the shell has to be trimmed way up since the DR chassis is wider the the 5b. I threw one on the other day and it looked pretty cool. Some day I'll do a build thread, paint one up, and mount it to a DR.

wonder , if i should build a mold and make me a carbonfiber body ,once i get my dune runner. I have done several mold before and know , how to do it. Any thoughts?

IMO that is a market that has really not been taped yet outside of rcdad with the grafill body I could not find anything else close with the dune runner.
