i just upgraded to the new 990 carb and new air filter and got the front end back together and the thing was a beast for about twenty mins..... now it don't want to move much. so i was thinking it was the clutch but it don't just wind out and not go it just acts like it has no balls. it winds up about like it always did only before it got up and went good now it slowly gets going? any suggestions?

Try rolling it. If it's hard to roll, you've got something binding. More than likely the issue is in the gear plate area. Make sure the gears spin freely.

+1 also check the pins behind the gears the rubber washer breaks very easliy and will allow the pins to break or come out the pins are located behind the gears that holds the 4 pins shaft that your gear sits on. Check that also.

thanks guys i ended up figuring out that it was just the carb was dirty from some sandy and dusty trails from yesterday, so now i need a outerwears for my filter lol, so i took the carb apart and cleaned it and it fixed it, i just need to know what my inital settings should be for the 990 carb?

These are the settings I use on my G290 with a 990...

HSN - 1 1/4 turns out

LSN - 1 1/4 turns out

Obviously these are factory settings, so you'll have to adjust them slightly. But it'll get you started.
