I have been playing with an idea on how to get the best out of my Redcat DUNERUNNER.and get a better look than a bad night in T.J paint job


so I thought of making a Truck using the 5t Body


It has been done before.


But I want to fabercate a better platform.


The Dunerunner wheel base is 1.5 inches longer than the HPI BAJA


and 2 in wider It is a good platform to start off with..and will work with some modifications using 5T parts.


but it will take some work and if I get it to work.


I will post some picks if any body is interested :cool:

I did get the DDM Fast Pipe to fit the Dunerunner with some tubing around the cage it did fits well and solid.


My Redcat purs with a ported 30.5 with a 2mm stufed crank.... Rips the turf up!!


Next will be a body fit and post mod to fit 5T mount locations on top and side


next redo shocks to fit the HPI VVC 6mm shocks this should give the platform a 1.5 lift


not sure if I will need to replace the dogbones.


I will need to experment a little.

i cant wait to see this....i wanna lift my DR too...get a little softer on the suspension so its a little less rough on the landings from jumps

why?


does it look like it plops as it's landing?


or ,bottoming out?
